As you lie silently blinking your eyes,

When I call you ‘baba’

My heart weeps and takes me down the memory lane

Where, I see you stand firmly and walk majestically 

You walk with a stride and remarkable pride 

I see you smile, laugh, cheer and speak those words of wisdom

As you lie silently blinking your eyes, I see hope 

Yes! My ears are eager to hear your voice again

My ears are eager to listen to your words of wisdom

Oh! my ears are longing to listen to your songs.

It has been a tumultuous journey ever since you are sick

Life has not been the same, 

No sound appeals to me as I long to hear your voice

Calling my name 

As a part of me rests with you , 

It reminds me emphatically,

As if the sound of the ringing bells, sound of the chymes

Are enlightening   me that you will wake up 

You will speak, you will smile, you will recognize your child.

Chanting in my ears, your voice 

As you would call me ,daughter! 

Yes! You will speak ,you will wake up.

You will sing, you will advise.

As I pray to the Almighty!

My inner voice says ‘you will overcome’

This darkness that has engulfed our lives, your pain ,your suffering

Your incessant   efforts to wake up,talk ,smile shall never go in vain

Our lives will again be illuminated with your bright smile

Your cheer, your laughter and your bountiful energy .

As you arise as a valiant warrior,

In the war between your incoherent mind and body

As it is you who will connect this thread of the mind with the body 

You will be victorious in this battle 

And when your soft voice will ring in my ears again 

Bringing joy and ecstasy to my life.

You came to my life like a white swan

Pure ! Divine! Blissful spreading love and happiness

Your ever smiling radiant face brought freshness in my life!

It seemed as if the morning dews have touched my life

 

 

We played, chatted, ate, roamed, sang as if we had conquered the world!

Yes! The world was ours !

Those endless chats, happy moments and joys of life

Seemed never to end!

 

The care,love,affection which you brought,

Illuminated my life with bountiful energy

Unleashing fresh life in me

New found happiness, and the urge to experience this beautiful  life !

 

And, when I become melancholic!morose, heartbroken and helpless

You come once again, like a white swan to spread happiness and peace

 

                                               I look at the tranquil sky ,and I see your bright smiling face .

It seems as if there is a heavenly glow on your face !

Peaceful, calm, serene!

I want to stare at you for hours together,

To immerse in the serenity ,to soak myself in the radiant aura of yours!

Oh! You are an angel now!

Those white wings look divine

As you sway them, you look so peaceful and poised.

I see how blissful you are,

With the almighty by your side

Taking care of you like a child !

 

And, you sway your white wings with pride!

Spreading  happiness ,laughter and sunshine!

 

Then again, I go back down the memory lane,

Ah! Those lovely memories with you ,

Eating making merry, singing, chatting for hours, exchanging gifts

Flashing before my eyes and my eyes twinkling with happiness!

 

Your love, your affection, your care and all those things

You did have become my treasures for lifetime! 

 

Yes ! they are mine and I get my strength from them !

Never to give up ! never to be unhappy

They will remain in my heart forever

Secure! ever precious and

I remain with those sweet memories, never to part with them

 

Yet, When I am lonely,I can see the white swan

with big white wings, smiling at me to

bring back the smile on my face

WINTER

The cool breeze has started blowing

The greenery refreshed

As if a fresh leash of life has opened up.

New Flowers,new fruits new life

But!oh to my wonder!

It seems i am  imprisoned

Chained,pulled and stuck in a web.

Just like a small ant stuck in a spider’s web

I struggle!i moan!i cry!

But no one is there to listen

All my agonies are lost in a barrel

Empty!shallow!dark!

My world seems to be in a distant horizon

With no new trees,no leaves,no new fruits.

Untouched by the cool breeze

The shabby old trees have lost their colour

It seems the vitality and vigour is lost and they stand as hard as rocks as if vanquished in the battlefield.

winter has come with merry songs

OH!to my wonder!

I am unable to hear the call

My ears seem to be cold and stiff

Refusing to hear the melodies

Because the dark clouds have not disaaperaed

I plea! I plea!i plea!

Oh winter1oh winter!

You come like a white swan

Spreading the message of love and peace.

Covering leaves,fruits in your white carpet

Spread your white carpet on me

With your arms outstretched

I will rest in peace.i shall rest in peace

Sometimes one thinks from the heart and that's how things change. Life shows you such stark realities that you have no option but to follow it no matter how you feel about it.

it seems life is taking a new turn welcoming new changes.

Has the spring season come

are all the birds chirping away to glory

as if nature has showered its bounties

it seems spring is far away

FANTASY

I am a loner in this madding world

But, I am what I am I want to exist

Childhood days with all their sweet memories,

Grandma’s tales, mama’s love,baba’s love and brother’s naughtiness

All have been lost in this madding world

I wonder !have those childhood pranks,schooltime fun and bedtime tales have vanished?

Oh!Yes! they have ,comes the answer from my CONSCIENCE

Because, now the days have become

Tough as rocks and distant as the horizon.

I want to reach the horizon

God!soar the skies !take the flight to the world of fantasy and euphoria.

Yes!God i want to reach the skies,

See the horizon and drink the milk of paradise.

Give me back those childhood fancies, school time fun and bedtime tales

Give me back all those days of fantasy

No more do I want to be a loner in this madding world

Yes! I want to exist, I want to exist

SHOW ME TRUE LIGHT

Help me to survive! help me to survive!
